E-Mart Supermarket & Grocery Store South Korea

This week we take a secret spy cam look inside an E-Mart store in South Korea.
I managed to sneak past the border patrol and enter the mart carrying my sophisticated surveillance equipment. I am now reporting this to you in an encrypted broadcast.
It was a dangerous mission and several people almost uncovered my subterfuge as they glanced into my shopping trolley but by using escape and evasion techniques I was able to get out of there alive! Lets take a look at what kinds of hidden and unspoken about goodies South Koreans are enjoying that the rest of the world is unaware of!
(P.S. I was getting over a throat and chest infection this week so I chose to rest and recover rather than go out and get worse as I am going on holiday next week! ^^ but more on that later. Hope you enjoy this simple post this week though.) ^^

E-Mart is one of three (or four if you count Costco) major supermarket and retail outlets in South Korea. The other two are Home Plus and Lotte Mart. Selling not only food items, most E-Marts and other like stores sell clothing, toys, books, automotive, computing items, sports equipment, music and more. Its effectively a one stop shop for all your needs.

2013 Coffee Expo Seoul South Korea 카페쇼

Last weekend was the annual Coffee Show in COEX Seoul South Korea.

As per last year there were many coffee enthusiasts that attended to see and sample all the new and exciting coffee brands on show and also play with some of the coffee equipment.

As I am no coffee connoisseur I could not fully appreciate what there was to see or sample and I spent my time there just casually looking around and taking a few snaps now and then. The expo was quite big this year with many exhibitors from all over the world. The thing that caught my eye was this new way to brew coffee from a capsule. We have one of these machines at work but I saw 2 or 3 other variants at the show. Basically you insert a coffee capsule into the machine and the machine heats up the water forces it through the capsule and you have a better tasting coffee than instant.





Anyway as I said I am not much of a coffee drinker so check out a few pics and the slideshow and if you are excited mark it in your diary for next year. ^^

Held from the 4th of April to the 7th of April this year, the event was interesting and had many new and exciting inventions as well as some returning manufacturers from last year with improved products.

Strangely the event organizers chose an unusual time to host the show this year as it coincided with the final weekend of the Seoul Motor Show and I am sure this hurt the P & I Shoes attendance figures. There were still a lot of camera junkies but not as many as last year. I was expecting to see no models displaying the cameras as the majority of the modelling talent was out at KINTEX with the Motor Show; however there were a few models and a couple had transferred over to the P & I Show from the Motor Show.

There were a few really exciting inventions and my pick of the bunch was the Spider holster for your camera.

The design seems pretty good and the camera is easy to draw and holster and feels good to walk around with. I would still like to see some additions like a Y frame shoulder strap that could connect to the belt to take the weight off the belt when you have a telephoto lens attached. But overall it was the best camera holster equipment at the show. ^^

There were of course hundreds of cameras and accessories and loads of people taking photos of everything.

This is a late blog entry this week! Due to a busy week and a huge editing job still currently in progress I have just been able to get things together to make this post.

What went into this project:
9 Hours shooting time
Over 7,000 photo's
Over 40 minutes of video footage
And countless hours of editing time (over 20 hours!)

The 2013 Seoul Motor Show was huge this year. Held at KINTEX over 2 weeks starting on the 29th (Public viewing) of March and ending on the 7th of April (as of writing this you still can get out there this weekend and see it!).
Thousands of people were viewing the cars and the models that covered a massive area of the KINTEX main floor one and the adjacent KINTEX building floor 2. So don't think that the main building has all the excitement be sure to check out the building next to the main floor for perhaps the best displays on offer at the show.

As per normal there were a vast array of major car manufactures exhibiting their cars and some fantastic concept cars that should go into production because they were very popular with the crowd!

There were again  literally hundreds of racing models that drew a crowd of professional and amateur photographers and all the famous models were there representing the big car brands.
